Nastled among the hills and in a natural gulf, Noli is a small fishing village, as well as Historical Maritime Republic, whose origins go back to the Roman period. The town still preserves many traces of its glorious past: The majestic Castle of Monte Ursino, the historical towers, walls and churches (the most prestigious is San Paragorio), the several historical buildings and traditional ceremonies that remind the glory of the ancient Republic. Since the 1950’s Noli has been a well know beach resort but it offers interesting opportunities for cultural events (Noli Musica Festival – go to Noli events) , nature and outdoor sports (Hiking, Sup and biking), shops and restaurants.
Noli belongs to the highly recognized Club “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” and it has gained the environmental certification EMAS and the Blue Flag, for the quality of the sea.
All of these characteristics make Noli the ideal vacation for families, outdoor lovers and foodies.
