Through a path among olive terraces you go up the slopes of Mount Ursino (121 meters) from the top of which the grandiose and scenic ruins of the castle (begun in sec. XI) dominate Noli. Inside, we can walk on the walkways that overlook the “keep” and skirt the high circular tower of sighting. Two curtains of crenellated walls (XIII century) descend to the cliffs on the sea and towards the town. It is the best preserved defensive monument in Western Liguria.
The proposed itinerary does not present particular difficulties, but requires a minimum of training and habit to walk.
Length 2 km. Difference in altitude 120 mt. Clothing comfortable and suitable for weather conditions, sneakers/ trekking.
Accessible by public transport (train, bus). Parking for cars.
